New TTU Campus Pictures - 6/23/2011

New group of shots from around campus include pictures of the new residence hall at 19th and Boston, the Texas Tech Horitcultral Gardens, the new location of the Health, Exercise and Sports Science building and some of the new development in North Overton.

They should be close to begining the demolition of the old women's gym to make room for the new residence and dining hall at the corner of 19th and Boston. The wrecking ball is now on site.

Since it has been so dry on the south plains, the only area with a little color is the Texas Tech Horticultral Gardens, located just north of the United Spirit Arena. Even that area is showing the effects of the drought as the plants are nowhere near as full and green as they usually are.

The Health, Exercise, and Sports Science department is moving into the old Print Tech building near the Physical Plant. Renovations are currently underway and they have poured concrete for the new gym that is being added on to the existing building.

Dan Law Field Renovation Groundbreaking Set for Friday Morning

Groundbreaking ceremonies will take place Friday morning at ten for the Dan Law Field Renovation. The five million dollar renovation is scheduled to be completed before the start of the 2012 baseball season.
